She was predeceased by: her parents, William F. Stoxen and Malinda Stoxen (Wilken); her husband Claude Hoodjer; her daughters, Debra and Diane; and her sister Esther Schmidt.
She is survived by: her children, Tim Hoodjer (Jody) of Clarksville and Paula Hoodjer of Clarksville; her grandchildren, Billie Buss (Scott), Leslie Groen (John), Stacy Stirling (Matt) and Scott Hoodjer (LeeAnn); and her great grandchildren, Fletcher, Mollie, Walker Buss, Sidney (Tyler Duster), Avery, Riley, Rowdy Groen, Madison, Katelyn Stirling, Charlie, Cambell and Dylan Hoodjer.
In the fall of 2020 during Covid 19, Bernice moved in with her daughter to be near family.
Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice or St. John Lutheran Church.
