He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Abels and Trena Abels (Ohden); his wife Esther Abels (Clark); his daughter Sharon Kraft; his stepson Robert Baxter; his brothers, Eugene, Earnest and Ralph Abels; and his siblings-in-law, Richard Berleen, Dorothy Abels and Doris Abels.
He is survived by: his daughter Marilyn Lehrman (Kevin) of Goldfield; his sisters, Dorothy Berleen and Rosemond Abels; his grandchildren, Susan Malek-Zadegan (Shawn) of Chanhassen, Bruce Kraft (Jerilyn) of Chanhassen, Annette Abels (John Easter) of Phoenix, Angelique Andrade of Exeter, Laura Schaffer (William) of Humboldt and Gregory Lehrman (Courtney) of Altoona; his great grandchildren, Michelle Sidwell (Trevor), Matthew Malek-Zadegan (Leah), Allison Rigler (Cory), Nathan Kraft (Priya), Clarissa Kraft, Nicholas, Douglas Andrade, Amanda, Jonathon and Emily Schaffer; and his great great grandchildren, Cedric, Theodore Rigler, Ryker and Thea Sidwell.
