He is survived by: his parents, Dennis Akers (Rita) of Shenandoah, Iowa and Kathy Garner (Majors) of Clarinda; his daughter Tara Ann Akers of Clarinda; his brother Joe Akers (Emily) of Clarinda; his nieces, Hannah Sefrit (Kolten) of New Market, Morgan Akers of Ames and Wheatley Akers of Clarinda; his stepsiblings, Craig Garner (Melissa) of Clarinda, Michelle Creveling (Troy) of Clarinda, Jeremy Culbertson, Synona Culbertson of Cedar Rapids, Desiree Culbertson of Lorimor and Taishna Novak (Jason) of Fort Madison, Iowa; his great-niece Aliza Mae; and also, Bailey Akers (Madison) of Urbandale, Maxx, Roman, Oxley Akers of Clarinda and Henry Thomas. He is also survived by his friends, family and co-workers.
