He was predeceased by: his parents, Don Newton and Fern Newton; his siblings, Wayne, Lester (Gen), Artie (Shirley), Owen, Donella (Chet Showers) and Ardella (Paul Smith); and his grandson Christopher Eric Poole.
He is survived by: his children, Melodie (Jeff Poole), Rhonda (Scott Howard) and Michael (Jackie Green); his wife Floris; his grandchildren, Dusty Poole (Cassie Kennedy), Miranda, Ryan Halverson, Josh Howard, Jairus Howard, Amber (Garin Wilson), Zach Newton (Hannah) and Chelsey (Shawn Phipps); his brothers, Hugh and Gary (Lucy); and his sister-in-law Irma Lee Newton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
