She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph J. Smith and Wilma Mauer Smith. She is survived by: her husband Bernard Gavin; and her children, Tamara Gavin Boyd (David), Scott Gavin (Kristie) and Todd Gavin (Julie). She is also survived by six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
