He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel A. McLaughlin and Marie E. Fitzgerald McLaughlin; and his siblings, Dan, Eugene McLaughlin, Lorraine Hockett, Rita Smith and Joan Riley.
He is survived by: his sons, Patrick McLaughlin (Lori) of Dawn, MO, Andrew McLaughlin (Yumiko Shiga) of Fort Myers, FL and Matt McLaughlin (Melanie) of Lenexa, KS; his grandchildren, Lauryn McLaughlin of Shawnee, KS, Drake McLaughlin of Ames, IA, Madison McLaughlin of Lenexa, KS and Tengi Shiga of New York, NY; and his sisters, Linda K Clayton (Tom) of Burlington and Rosemary Carol Abel of Burlington.
