She was predeceased by: her parents, George Steinberg and Hazel Steinberg (Steele); her son Roy Allen; her husband Preceding; her sons, Douglas Steenhard and Harlan Steenhard; her brothers, Robert Steinberg (Frances) and Donald Steinberg (Olga); and her siblings-in-law, Norman Bruns and Gelaine Cody.
She is survived by: her former husband Alfred Steenhard; her daughter Donna Stine (Dave) of Davisburg, MI; her daughters-in-law, Deborah Steenhard of Kenyon, MN and Marcia Steenhard of Rochester, MN.; her grandchildren, Dan Stine (Christy), Laura Barrett (Eric), Mike Stine (Nicole), Melissa Bauer (Ben), Katie Hempel (Tobin), Cameron Steenhard, Lucas Steenhard and James Stine (Sarah); and her great grandchildren, Ethan, Sadie Stine, Lilly, Mika Stine, Jack, Owen Bauer, Meara, Kellan Hempel and Vivian Stine. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Summit House Assisted Living in Britt, Mercy One North Iowa Hospice, or donors choice, in Shirley's name.
