It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James A. Benson of Bettendorf, Iowa, born in Green Bay, Wisconsin, who passed away on December 24, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Benson and Iva Benson (Olson); and his sister Lola Ann Aland (Clarence). He is survived by: his wife Gail Benson of Bettendorf; his sons, Dan Benson (Julie) of Colona and Rob Benson of Bettendorf; his grandchildren, Megan Clay (Royce), Joseph Benson, Jacob Benson and Jordan Benson; his stepgrandchildren, Stacie, Shawn and Adam; and his brother Peter Benson (Sandy) of Kaukauna, Wisconsin.
Memorials may be directed to Bettendorf Presbyterian Church or to the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House.
