We are sad to announce that on August 25, 2023, at the age of 86, Carol Jean Schadt of Bettendorf, Iowa, born in Rock Island, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald Coward and Carmen Coward; her former husband James Schadt; her husband A. Greg Gutgsell; and her brother William Coward.
She is survived by: her children, Gina Schadt of Austin, TX, Joseph Schadt (Anita) of Rock Island, IL, Annette Beckwith (Robert) of Jefferson, GA and Joni Ketelaar (Matt) of Davenport, IA; and her grandchildren, Jason Schadt, Jessica Gronewold, Madison Zemba, Emily Crawley, Rob Beckwith, Caleb Beckwith, Laura Beth Beckwith, Maddie Corapi, Luke Ketelaar and Ben Ketelaar. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, family is requesting memorials be left in Carol's name to either The American Cancer Society or The Scott County Humane Society.
