She is survived by: her son John William (Shelby) of Des Moines; her husband John Warren Neel; her children, Joni Swedenhjelm (Bill) of Norwalk and Tim Neel (Laurie) of Clinton, MT.; her grandchildren, John Neel (Sami), Jeffrey Neel (Paige), Jenna Heintschel (Marcus), Jack Neel, Andrew Swedenhjelm (Lily), Joseph, Joshua Davis-Smith (Chloe), Emily Rhoda (Brady) and Josh Leahy; her great grandchildren, Elsie, Aniston Neel, James Heintschel, Theo, Isaac Swedenhjelm, Liam Swedenhjelm, Beau and Rylan Rhoda; and her siblings, Alice Christensen and Allen Koppernagel (Linda).

Memorial contributions may be made in Sharon's memory to the American Diabetes Association.
