She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Schlicht and Annie Schlicht; her husband Harry "Bub" Gaines; her son Harry "Bill" Leonard Gaines III; and her siblings, Mable Schlicht, Amanda Snelson (Dalton), Margaret Seymore (Sam), Annie May Hodges, John Lee Schlicht (Virginia), Herman Schlicht (Frances), Robert Schlicht (Betty) and Alma Dillehay (Monte).

She is survived by: her daughter Annie Wilmoth Schlicht (Waycaster); her brother-in-law Alvie; her children, Linda Fulk (Larry) of Hamlin, Herman "Tab" Gaines (Rhea) of Pleasanton, TX and Todd Gaines (Barb) of Phoenix, AZ; and her grandchildren, Scott Fulk (Chris) of Atlantic, Wendi Harrah of Clarion, David Fulk of Dows, Jim Fulk (Kristal) of Atlantic, Jason Fulk (Rachel) of Atlantic, Nicole Holmquist (Gregory) of Everett, WA, Tyler Gaines of Council Bluffs, Jonathan Gaines (Jessica) of Treynor, Rachel Gaines of Council Bluffs, Mary Mills-Foley of Altoona, Natalie Suhr (Scott) of Adair, Joshua Gaines (Norma) of Porter, TX, Megan McCarthy (Michael) of Norfolk, NE and Emily Gaines of Phoenix, AZ. She is also survived by 39 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
