It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Joann Gerhold of Atkins, Iowa, born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, who passed away on March 14, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Sandler and Phyllis Sandler (Hoehn); her siblings, Ed Sandler Jr., Ron Sandler and Judy Thenhaus; and her son-in-law James "Chicken" Maddox.
She is survived by: her husband Arlen; and her children, Curt Gerhold (Lori) of Atkins, Kathy (late James Maddox) of Cedar Rapids, Sue Dolan (Chris) of Fairfax, Sally Polansky (Matt) of Atkins and Dianna Svoboda (Brad) of Cedar Rapids. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandsons.
