He was predeceased by: his parents, Gustave Boysen and Agnes Boysen (Schmidt); his wife Ruth Niemeier; his siblings, Rose and Robert; and his sisters-in-law, Darlene and Jean.
He is survived by: his children, Sherree (Paul Koch) of Davenport, Iowa and Rick (Lauri) of Ringsted; his grandchildren, Melinda (Ethan), Andrew (Jesse), Kristin (Nick), Ashley (Jamie), Adam (Stephanie) and Aaron Boysen (Ashley); and his brother G. C. Boysen. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.
