We are sad to announce that on February 26, 2023, at the age of 70, Linda Weitzel (Ames, Iowa), born in Waterloo, Iowa passed away. She was predeceased by: her parents, Johan Regner Schmidt (Johnny) and Lorraine Mae Hansen Schmidt; her siblings, Jeff and Nancy Crandell; and her grandson William Hester.

She is survived by: her husband Norm Weitzel of Ames; her daughters, Sarah Chang (Jack), Bethany Prins (Josh) of Hartland, Wisconsin and Karleen Hester (Paul) of Stelzenberg, Germany; and her sisters, Barbara Blough of Myrtle Beach and Debra Hauskins of Marion. She is also survived by eight nephews; five nieces; and nine cousins.
