Jolene Kay Buffington Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jolene Kay Buffington of Ames, Iowa, who passed away on May 2, 2023 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Wesley Alexander and Betty Alexander; her husband Virgil; her children, Joe Buffington of Blue Springs and Andrea Peel (Rodney) of Little Rock, Ark.; her grandsons, Kaleb Salmon and Braxton Peel; her sister Cindi Dueland (Dean); her brothers-in-law, Krandel Buffington and Gary Buffington; and her nieces and nephews, Toby McCarter (Heather), Dean Buffington (Jeannie), Patty Fraley, LuAnn Zumwalt (Rob), Sandra Oliver (Pete), Renee Maceli, Brooke Sanborn (John) and Teran Clutts (Josh). She was also cherished by several great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, in remembrance of Jolene, we ask that donations be made to the University of Kansas Cancer Center in Kansas City, Suncrest Hospice or Bickford Senior Living in Ames.
