He was predeceased by: his parents, John Rasmussen and Adeline Rasmussen; his wife Betty; his siblings, Gus, Jim and Donzetta; and his grandson Brennan.

He is survived by: his sons, Chris Rasmussen (Jennifer Jones), Jeff Rasmussen (Susan Burns) and Tim (Nicole Rasmussen); his sister Karen; and his grandsons, Soren, Lars, Noah, Jacob, Wyatt, Cameron and Cael.
