He was predeceased by: his parents, Ted Smith and Edna Smith (Whitehill); and his siblings, Donna Sue Carlson (Smith) and Gerald "Jerry" Roger Smith. He is survived by: his wife Carol; his children, Darin (Terri Takata-Smith) of Thornton, CO, Ted (Steele Stevenson) of Fairfax, VA, Heather Eide of Two Harbors, MN and Emily Ortez (Andy) of Overland Park, KS; his grandchildren, Evan, Chase Smith of Thornton, CO, Trice Smith of Fairfax, VA, Gavin, Levi, Iver Eide of Two Harbors, MN, AJ, Carson and Decklan Ortez of Overland Park, KS.; and his brothers, Ron Smith (Susan) of Pleasant Dale, NE, Mike Smith (Thelma) of Lincoln, NE and Mike Maranville (Sandy) of Grand Junction, CO. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
