She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis Leland and Ida Leland (Hennick); her husband John Hynd; and her siblings, Donald Elliott (Agnes), Howard Elliott (Helen), Colista Hensley (Fred), Frances Gill, Margaret Nerness (Byron), Arnold Leland (Thelma) and Doris Ness (Clarence).
She is survived by: her daughters, Paula Belz (Dick) of Ames and Bev Berg (Bill) of Ames; and her grandchildren, Kara Tilley, Klint Belz (Jenny), Tiffany Barnes (Thomas), Melissa Winkey (Brandon), Kyle Berg (Meesh Heer), Brandon Berg (Allison), Kevin Berg (Bridget), Ryan Berg (LeeAnn) and Jenna Berg. She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Family of Dorothy Hynd for future charitable contributions.
