He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Ben York, Norma Counter and Alberta Coleman. He is survived by: his parents, Barry York (Tami) and Jennifer Maxfield; his son Samson Arley York; his spouse Jenell York; his siblings, Renae Rudkin (Jason) and Benjamin York; his grandmother Carolyn York; his nieces and nephews, Katrina, Marissa, Daniel, Lance Lindemann, Aly Rudkin and Bennett York; his stepfather Al Maxfield; and his grandmother-in-law Richard Suchomel. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Memorials may be directed to the family. They plan to use them for a trust fund for his son, Samson, and a portion will be donated to the school Bruce helped build on a mission trip to Guatemala.
