He was predeceased by: his parents, Maurice O'Meara and Ruby O'Meara (Coburn); his siblings, Maurice "Herb" O'Meara, Jerry Thompson, Ruth O'Meara, Shirley Thompson and Mary Jane King; and his siblings-in-law, Vernon Stockfleth and Phyllis Bielfeldt.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce O'Meara of Waukee; and his siblings-in-law, Glen Bielfeldt, Dean Hinz, Marian Stockfleth and Marlene O'Meara. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
