With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Helen Louise Dawes of Adel, Iowa, who passed away on March 22, 2023 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Leroy Wicks; her husband Lowell Dawes; her son Randall Dawes (Randy); her siblings, Edith Carol Barton, Lola Knoll and Robert Wicks; and her granddaughter-in-law Laurie Tryon Dawes.
She is survived by: her children, Nick Dawes (Peg) of Adel, Barb Dawes and John (Mark Walker); her daughter-in-law Marilyn Dawes of Bonita Springs, Florida; her grandchildren, Lori Davis (Ben), Brent Dawes (Annie), Beau Dawes (Amie), Colby Dawes (Angela), Christine Sadley (Cory Fisher), Katelyn Sadley (Cullan Hopkins), Sara Di Stefano (Justin), Anna Dawes and Maria Dawes; and her great grandchildren, Breannah, Brock, Troy Davis, Adalyn, Abigail Dawes, Leah, Blake, Lane Dawes, Braylon, Bryce Dawes, Kaylee, Parker and Jaxson Cary. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed in Helen's memory to the Panther Creek Church or to a charity of your choice.
