With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Liliuokalani Kauahi (Kailua Kona, Hawaii), born in Honolulu, Hawaii, who passed away on February 28, 2018 at the age of 70. He is survived by: his wife Velma Kauahi of Kailua-Kona; his children, Wainani Kauahi of Kailua-Kona, Kale Yonemura of Kealakehe and Leroy Funk of Louisville; his mother Lily Jane Nunies of Honolulu; his sisters, Judy Santiago of Honolulu, Mercy Kauahi-Jackson of Honolulu and Willette Coleman (David) of Gardena; and also Kentucy. He is also survived by 2 grandchildren; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
