He is survived by: his wife Debrah Akui of Hilo; his son Wade Akui of Hilo; his siblings, Roderick Akui (Sheila) of Hilo, Puanani Kea of Las Vegas and Cynthia DeCoito of Hilo; and his grandchildren, Shazlynn Akui, Liko Akui (Misato), Kalae Akui and Koa Akui.
