He is survived by: his wife Colette Tyrin of Hilo; his sons, Bruce Tyrin (Stephanie) of Buckeye and James Tyrin (Misti) of Hilo; his sister Astri Johnsaeter of Flisa, Norway; and his brothers-in-law, Joseph W. Andrews, Deacon LeRoy Andrews of Hilo, Lawrence Andrews (Kay) and Eugene H. Lyman, III of Keaau. He is also survived by five grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
