She is survived by: her parents, James H. and Letha Vernon; her husband Wayne S. Parnell; and her children, Jennifer Parnell, Tammy Dragon (Tony), Rebecca Whitney (Daniel) and Janice Twedt. She is also survived by five sisters and two brothers and twelve grandchildren.
