He was predeceased by: his parents, Grover Solomon Strickland and Thelma Gaston Strickland; his sisters, Betty Cotton and Alice Willis; his parents-in-law, Rev. Virgil Wilson Rigsby and Ruby Irene Rigsby; and his brother-in-law Kenneth Rigsby.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Rigsby Strickland; his children, Greg Strickland (Alicia) and Angie Strickland Bowen (Rick); his grandchildren, Brooke Strickland, Austin Strickland, Lindsey Morgan Bowen Nihart (Ben), Hope Bowen and Hudson Bowen; his great grandchildren, Salem, Hallie and Savannah Nihart; and his brothers-in-law, Randy Rigsby (Retha) and Tim Rigsby (Paulette). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
