He was predeceased by: his parents, E. S. Thomas and Edna Avrett Thomas; his siblings, Barbara Aldridge, Leroy Thomas of Clark Thomas, J. E and David Thomas; and his brothers-in-law, Bill Aldridge and Jerry Dickey.
He is survived by: his siblings, Melvis McCullough of Waynesboro, Dorothy Dickey (Junior) of Fair Play, SC, Edward Thomas (Sarah) of Waynesboro and Becky Phillips (Joey) of Waynesboro; and his sisters-in-law, Alice Bell Thomas of Waynesboro, Kaye Barefield Thomas of Waynesboro and Dorothy Thomas of Hephzibah. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other family members.
