She was predeceased by: her mother Reba Annette Bates; and her brother Lee Brooks. She is survived by: her father Charles L. Brooks; her children, Ashley Brooks (Eric Vargas) of Douglasville and Cody Donaldson (Arin Allen) of Hiram; her sister Melissa Steffey (Mark) of Waco; her granddaughter Harper Vargas; and her nieces, Savannah Steffey and Elisabeth Steffey. She is also survived by friends, granddaughter and nieces.

I texted her on Easter and when she didn't reply, I searched for her. My heart broke. She loved and adored her children and grandbaby so very much. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends. She will truly be missed. I am so sorry for your loss.”
