He was predeceased by: his parents, Enoch Garvin and Lonie Johnson Garvin; his wife Catherine Wilkerson Garvin; his children, Lee Rachels, Allen Rachels and Betty Sellers (Rose Mary Rachels); and his siblings, Lamar Garvin and Martha Cleary.
He is survived by: his children, Glenn Wilkerson (Carveta) of Waynesboro, Roy Rachels (Donna) of Swainsboro and Catherine Marie Hendley (Craig); his brother H. D. Garvin (Jack); his niece Wanda Mann of Pensacola, FL; and his nephew Billy Cleary of Pensacola, FL. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many friends.
