She was predeceased by: her parents, Doc Carswell and Ebbie Ramsey Carswell; her son David Hughes; and her siblings, Willie Carswell, Eddie Carswell, Doc Carswell, Jr., Jimmy Carswell, Lucille Carswell, Annie Rucker, Jean Carswell and Carrie Carswell.
She is survived by: her children, John Hughes, Cheryl Moody and Carol Hughes; and her sisters-in-law, Julia Mae Carswell of Swainsboro, Annie Kate Wadley of Swainsboro and Dale Carswell. She is also survived by Twin City; 15 grandchildren, 25 greatgrandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, and many friends.
