He was predeceased by: his father Harvey Sherrod; his wife Georgia Mae Braddy Sherrod; his children, Seresa Waters and Jimmy Ray Sherrod; and his sisters, Johnnie Canady, Lillian Hodges, Mary Rich and Marjorie Johnson.
He is survived by: his son Bobby Frank Sherrod; his brother Harvey Sherrod of Eastman; his daughter Ladona Lara of Metter; and his sisters, Janie Perkins of Waynesboro and Louise Barker of Millen. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter, and several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
