With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Almeta Wilcher of Twin City, Georgia, born in Millen, Georgia, who passed away on September 14, 2020 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Ben Kirkland and Sarah Connor Kirkland; her husbands, Willie Joe McNear and George Wilcher; and her siblings, Clarence Kirkland, Rufus Kirkland, Bennie Lee Burros and Lillie Ruth Giles.

She is survived by: her children, Bobby McNear (Barbara) of Metter, Frank McNear (Marissa) and Peggy Branch; her sisters, Glenda Banner of Philadelphia, PA and Estella Gay of Millen; and her grandchildren, Chris Hughes (Sharon), Willie Hughes, Ben Hughes (Fonya), Shaneika Gallon (Thomas), Kejuan McNear (Janie), Alonzo Burke, Ruthie Milton, Cameyshia Carlyle, Briana Swans, Bobby Swans and Shetisha Banner. She is also survived by 22 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
