He was predeceased by: his parents, James Whisenhunt-Hayes and Mattie Lou Whisenhunt-Hayes; his son Wesley Hayes; and his brother Douglas Hayes. He is survived by: his wife Nellie Ruth Parker Hayes; his daughter Carla; his daughter-in-law Lisa Lambert of Sugar Valley, GA; his children, Christie Blanchard of Dalton, Jamie (Carmen Hayes), Brian (Chassidy Hayes) and Bruce Jr. (Jen Brock); his sister Gail; his brother-in-law Dennis Mitchell of Dalton; his brothers, Greg Hayes of Lafayette and Billy (Carol Hayes); his grandchildren, Sheara Tancrede, Chad Jones, Cecilia Whisenant, Tesla Jones, Jericho Ledford, Carlee Rogers, Jason Padgett, Libby Campbell, Gabby Robinson and Kynleigh Brock; his great grandchildren, Ben, Abby Lovain, Kason, Rhett Tancrede, Mary Beth Blanchard and Bryar Robinson; his niece Brittany Hayes; and his great-niece Maddie Hayes.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home (2801 Cleveland Hwy, Dalton, GA 30721). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
