With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Wayne Nelson Payton (Tucker, Georgia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 10, 2025 at the age of 76. In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Wayne Nelson leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Wayne Nelson may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Lois Reeves and W. Nelson Payton; and his brother Anthony. He is survived by: his wife Judy Bramlett Payton; and his children, Karri Williams (Joe Meadows), Wesley Payton (Rebecca Thompson) and Matthew Payton. He is also survived by many other family members and friends.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 3:00 PM.
