He was predeceased by: his parents, Myron Gass and Delia Crisp Gass; his son Phillip Maurice Gass, Jr.; and his siblings, June Gass Smith, Gwendolyn Gass McBryar, Myra Gass Kesler, Keith, Dwight and Darrell Gass.
He is survived by: his wife Eva Lee Gass; his daughter Deloris Gass of Dayton, TN; his granddaughter Nichole Barbee Mackey (Bryan); his great grandchildren, Meagan and Madison Mackey; his brother Benny Gass (Carolyn); and his brother-in-law Fred Mercer. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, & cousins.
