He was predeceased by: his wife Annie Ivie Jean Hicks; his parents, George Hicks, and Emmie Raines Hicks, Sr.; and his children, Barbara Clark and Steven Hicks.
He is survived by: his children, Kenneth Hicks of Trenton, GA, Emma Sue James of Trenton, GA, Diane Morrow of Trenton, GA and Ernest Hicks of Trenton, GA. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren; also several nieces and nephews.
