He was predeceased by: his parents, Artie Lennie Marchant and Lula Willis Bryan Marchant; and his siblings, Denver (Glennice Bryan), Leon Marchant, Wright (Hazel Marchant), Evelyn (Tom Clark), Willie (Clifton Dickens), Myrtice Marchant, Wynell Marchant and Marylene (Bob Whittington).
He is survived by: his wife Marie Beard Marchant; his son Walt; his daughter-in-law Jinny Marchant of Suwanee; his daughter Rhonda (Steve Pearman); his grandchildren, Jason (Lydia Marchant), Justin (Rosie Marchant) and Ashlea (Matt Sheorn); his great grandchildren, Cade Marchant, Cohen Marchant, Sophie Marchant, Rogan Marchant and Riley Marchant; his sister Merle Perryman of Sylvester; and his sister-in-law Ruth Beard of Tifton.
