She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernice Battle and Eliot Battle of Tifton, GA.; her husband Jimmie C. Bowen of Register, GA.; her brother Eliot Battle (Zeke); and her daughter Pam Bowen Bragdon.
She is survived by: her children, J. C. Bowen, Jr. (Spud), Chip Bowen (Fern) and Stacie Bowen Branch (Danny); her son-in-law Ronnie Bragdon (Debra); and her grandchildren, J. Carson Bowen, III (Heather), P. Conner Bowen (Bridgett), Erin Bowen Middleton (Jeremy), Chad Bowen, Cliff Bragdon, Justin Branch (Synclair), Jesse Branch and Kinslee Branch. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
