He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Nathaniel Cowart and Pearl Thompson Cowart; his wife Alice Faye Cowart; and his siblings, Earl, Dean, Ann and Ruby.
He is survived by: his daughter Sharon; his son-in-law Thomas Rollins, Sr. of Sylvania; his son Steven N., Sr.; and his daughter-in-law Penny Cowart of Sylvania. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Hurst Baptist Church Cemetery.
