It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Don Rainwater of Swainsboro, Georgia, born in Madill, Oklahoma, who passed away on June 27, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Newton Rainwater and Lucinda Markham Rainwater; his former wife Ann Rainwater; and his siblings, John Delbert Rainwater, Elvin Harding Rainwater, Elbert Carter Rainwater, William Reese Rainwater, Lynn Mavis Rainwater, Irene Martha Rainwater, Elva Iva Rainwater, Nova Marie Rainwater and Fanchon Loretta Rainwater.
He is survived by: his wife Gayle Rainwater of Swainsboro; his daughters, Rebecca Roberts (Carl) of Mims, FL and Melinda Averett (Dennis) of Kite; and his sister Pat Vernell Rainwater. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren: 3 greatgrandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
