It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Blanche Simmons of Swainsboro, Georgia, born in Washington, Georgia, who passed away on July 18, 2022, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Susie Kate Poole Hood and John Marshall Hood; her husband Everett Fisher "Buck" Simmons; her great grandchild Tony Thompson; and her brothers, Joseph Hood, Winton Hood, Herman Hood and Marvin Hood.
She is survived by: her daughters, Susan Payne of Swainsboro and Paula Thompson (Larry) of Swainsboro; her grandchildren, J. T. Thompson of Swainsboro, Susie Thompson Hall of Swainsboro and Lucas Thompson of Swainsboro; and her great grandchild Emily Thompson. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
