She was predeceased by: her father Palmer G. Edenfield; her husbands, Jessie Thomas Garrett and Charles Smith; her daughter Melissa Margaret Coker; her brother Palmer Gordon "Bubba" Edenfield Jr.; and her granddaughter Sydney Kate Smith.
She is survived by: her son Thomas Garrett (Cheryl) of Swainsboro, GA.; and her grandchild Thomas P. Garrett. She is also survived by Nieces, Nephews and extended family and friend.
