She was predeceased by: her parents, Milton T. Anderson and Alma Peebles Anderson; and her sister Angela Anderson. She is survived by: her husband James H. "Buddy" May; her children, Jimmy May (Marvin Henry) of Swainsboro, Jason May (Erin) of Swainsboro and Julie Mercer (Marty); her sister Alma Joanna May (Richard Peacock) of Adrian; and her grandchildren, Gabrielle Durden, Jessica Durden, Rebecca Durden, Justin Henry Riner, Evan May and Izzy May. She is also survived by her husband, children, and grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Swainsboro.
