He is survived by: his wife Michell Crump Merritt of Sumner; his sons, Daniel Merritt of Worth County, Kenneth Crump of Worth County and Andrew Dillard of Worth County; his siblings, Robert "Bob" Merritt, Jr. (Tina) of Simpsonville, SC, Sara Lyn Merritt Chickering (Mark A.) of Alexandria, VA and Judy Ann Merritt Boggess; his grandchildren, Dalton James Merritt, Hayden Ivy Merrritt and Kenneth Lee Crump; and his stepfather Thomas Phelts.
