He was predeceased by: his parents, James McEntire and Ogla Ruby Anderson Daniel; and his brother Captain James Robert Daniel. He is survived by: his wife Peggy; his former wife Lynda; his children, James, Jennifer, Kevin and Keri; his niece Bridget; and his grandchildren, Jonas, Lindy, Alex, Morgan, Simon, Sage, Liam, Savannah and Lucas.
