It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melanie Beth Peters Wood of Stone Mountain, Georgia, born in Decatur, Georgia, who passed away on September 26, 2023, at the age of 57, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles E Peters and Sara Ellen Studdard Peters; and her husband George "Butch" Wood of Stone Mountain, Georgia.. She is survived by: her sons, Aaron Miller and Luke Miller; and her sister Lisa Peters Priddy (Georgia) of Loganville. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, family kindly suggests a donation in her memory to one of Melanie's favorite charities, Light A Candle and Food For the Poor.
