He was predeceased by: his parents, Nettie Moore and Hoyt Moore of Tacocca, Georgia; his in-laws, Gerald and Fern Magness of Rex, Georgia; and his siblings, Ressie, Doyle Roberts of Toccoa and James Moore of Jacksonville, Florida..

He is survived by: his wife Sandra Moore; his children, Michael Moore Jr. and Missi Simmons (Rusty) of Georgetown; his granddaughter Meritt Oddo (Joey) of Tampa, Florida.; and his siblings, Jennie Williams of Penelton, Joyce Moore of Jacksonville, Florida, Barbara Schaeffer of Demorest, Georgia, Cathy Bloodworth (Eddie) of Bethlehem, Georgia, Rev. Ken Magness (Teresa) of Lovejoy, Georgia, Keith Magness (Linda) of Monticello, Georgia and Rev. Chris Magness (Dena) of Hampton, Georgia.. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Michael Moore Sr. was a remarkable individual whose contributions to his community, family, and profession will be remembered and celebrated by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
