He is survived by: his caregiver Marcia Lewis; his children, Cody Lanier, Buck Lanier Lewis of Lewis Lanier, D. W, Lindy Brinson, Susan Kent and Alicia Wilkinson; his granddaughter Alicia "AJ" Brinson; and his siblings, Marie Smith and Roger Lanier.
