He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Edward Smothers and Gracie Williams Smothers; and his son Tony Smothers. He is survived by: his significant other Sandy Mims of Statesboro; his sons, Scott (Tammy Smothers) of Cullman, AL, David (Tabatha Smothers) of Cullman, AL, Norman Smothers of Cullman, AL, Greg (Heather Mims) and Ross (Missy Mims); and his brother Hulon Smothers of Merritt Island, FL. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
