He was predeceased by: his mother Sara Bell Dotson; his aunts, Johnnie Mae Dotson, Ola Spivey and Jessie Jones; and his uncle Eugene Dotson.
He is survived by: his brother Johnny Dotson (Rita) of Springfield; and his cousin Nina Dasher of Eden. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
